Posting my first blog post left me feeling quite anxious about what others might think? That first time you click that publish button, you never truly know how you will be viewed by the outside world. But now, blogging has become an engaging hobby which I love.
One of my reasons why I love blogging is the freedom I get to focus on a hobby I love which is writing. I’ve faced many emotional challenges in my life and writing has often been my emotional safe haven that relaxes my mind and mental state. I can walk through everyday life, jotting down notes for my next article and it instantly makes me feel happy and content. I feel sometimes we tend to focus on the negatives in life and forget the littles things which makes us feel happy. Which is probably why blogging is a popular hobby and career choice by many.
I can think of so many reasons why I love to blog but here are my five main reasons I like to keep in mind.
Confidence has improved
Writing allows me to express myself and blogging gives me the outlet to be able to do so. Most days anxiety and self confidence tends to eat itself away at me. But because blogging requires lots of writing time, this distraction helps me to stay focused and positive.
Get to be Creative
I often don’t feel I get creative enough in daily life, blogging has most certainly helped me to make sure I do. The freedom to write about the things I love, the latest craze or just general everyday stuff. My mind feels free to explore when before it felt a closed book. Building a website and taking photos has really expanded my creative skill set. Getting creative has always been fun to me, being able to open my mind has been worthwhile.
Exploring new skills
Learning a new skill or craft is unbelievably satisfying. Just learning to build a website using WordPress was a new skill to master. The internet has really opened my horizons and giving me plenty of insight on how to create, upcycle and build. Whatever you wish to learn is easily findable on Google. Reading others advice and watching videos has helped me to explore and have a go myself. It’s really inspired me.
The opportunity to try new products
I started reviewing products before I started blogging and realised that both worked really well together. Testing new products gave me a voice to let others know how great products were. Some of the opportunities I’ve received have all been very diverse and some have introduced me to new innovations which I continue to buy and use. Some are that good!
Meeting new people
I was surprised how many like minded people I’ve met through my blog and everyday I’m still meeting more. Nearly all the blogs I’ve viewed over the years have inspired and made waves to build my own blog. You are all amazing people!
So there’s my five reasons why I love blogging. Just writing about the reasons has given me a feeling of self worth. I would really love to know what you love about blogging, please feel free to comment.
