I love painting my nails but unless I’m sat near a table painting my nails, reaching over for my open nail polish can prove awkward. Then I discovered the Tweexy, the revolutionary nail polish bottle holder. Designed to hold any nail polish bottle steady on your fingers while you happily paint your nails, oh and it’s spill proof. Sounds good doesn’t it?
You’ve probably seen many eBay ‘knock offs’ but the Tweexy is the original spill proof, 100% silicone nail polish holder. Available in various colours from pink to blue or green to purple. I couldn’t wait to road test my brand new brightly coloured bonbon pink beauty gadget, so here’s my review.
My first impressions of my Tweexy is that it resembles an oversized silicone kid’s jewellery ring. The finger holders are designed to fit any size finger even with my slender fingers, the grip was tight. The ring area is quite grippy but flexible, so are easy to adjust using the ‘squeeze tab’s to each side to gently slide onto your fingers from above, wrapping over them securely. I was surprised how secure it felt on my fingers and quite comfortable too.
The top part of the Tweexy has a ‘plunger style’ area to slot the nail polish bottle. Its very tight and I would recommend placing your nail polish in the hole first below sliding onto your fingers.
Does it fit all nail polish bottles?
As someone who has a big collection of nail polish brands, I quickly got to testing each brand of nail polish to see is the my Tweexy would fit. Too be honest all of my bottles fitted even my mini polishes. Though my Boots No7 Gel Polish was too slim to stay sturdy. I discovered you can lift up one of the ‘flaps’ to allow more room to hold if the bottle is too large.
But my Tweexy worked great with Essie, China Glaze, Revlon, Barry M, OPI even unusual shaped bottles like Nails Inc and CND Vinylux polishes. All my favourite brands anyway so I was happy.
Was it easy to use?
I found using the Tweexy made life a little bit easier, it held the nail polish bottle securely even when I forgot it was on my fingers and tilted my hand. Yikes, no spills luckily!. Having the nail polish bottle so close to my hand while painting my nails felt easier and safer somehow. I did find it a struggle to use on my dominant right hand but then I always struggle to paint my nails using my left hand, so was to be expected. It’s definitely a great solution when you are painting your nails in awkward situations such as on the sofa or sat outdoors enjoying the sunshine.
