Age Defying: Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum Review

It’s taken me a while to adjust to using anti aging products. I should’ve started way back in my twenties, then my thirties came and went, now I’ve hit 40 I really needed to get on the anti aging train before it was too late. One product I kept meaning to try was Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (often abbreviated to ANR). Being one of the brands best sellers I’d nothing but positive reviews about it being the best product on the market for slowing down the age process. The serum works as you sleep on fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and dryness for amore youthful and radiant skin.

Initially it was the price that was putting me off at £55 for a small 30ml bottle it did seem quite expensive for someone like me who is on a tight budget. But as the instructions suggest, only several drops are required per use so hopefully it will be a good investment in the long run.

First invented over 30 years ago, ANR has been patented till 2033. The product, a peach coloured serum in a brown coloured bottle is very classic retro in appearance. Suitable for all skin types including oily or sensitive skin, the lightweight, fragrance free serum hydrates the skin to leave it looking radiant.

I began introducing ARN into my nightly skin care routine. Although ARN can be applied both day and night, application before bedtime allows the skin time to heal and repair itself while you sleep.

Firstly I removed all my makeup using Garnier Micellar water, I then began applying a small dros from the pipette bottle onto my finger tip and then began massaging into my forehead, under my eyes, mouth, cheeks and neck area. I was surprised how big an area a small drop of serum could cover. I probably only needed to apply four or five drops. I then allowed a minute or two for the serum to absorb into my skin before finishing with my favourite moisturising lotion Aveeno.

Verdict:

Although I suffer from dry and sensitive skin, the serum felt great and didn’t leave my skin feeling tight or irritated. In fact my skin has felt silky smooth and hydrated since using.

I’ve been applying ARN for a month now. There is still plenty of serum left in the bottle to use which I’m pleased about. My skin does look more radiant with an even skin tone. I really cannot fault how silky soft my face feels but I can still see my fine line wrinkles around my eyes though they do look slightly improved. I will definitely stick with this serum, overtime I’m sure I won’t regret my time invested in Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II.
